Contra Costa Smog Center has received STAR Certified Smog Inspection and Repair Station Status from the State of California.

The Star Certified Smog Check is designed to make the Program more convenient for consumers. It allows a licensed Smog Check station, that meets higher performance standards to provide a variety of inspection and repair services to California consumers.

In addition to the regular Smog Check inspection and repair services, Gold Shield stations can inspect and certify "Directed Vehicles," issue certificates to "Gross Polluters," and perform state subsidized repairs through the Consumer Assistance Program.

Vehicles failing their bi-annual smog check may be eligible for $500.00 in repair assistance from the State of California, available here at Contra Costa Smog. Call or come in person for more information and eligibility, we will help you expedite the process.
